The Chatanika Trail System

There are more than 50 miles of trails in this area, much of it groomed, as well as access to BLM's White Mountains Trail system.

The Chatanika Lodge and Snow RV are at mile 28.6 of the Steese Highway across the street from Gold Dredge #3, which is North of Fairbanks. The Chatanika Lodge can be reached at (907) 389-2164, Snow RV at (907) 389-7669. These trails take you from the Chatanika Lodge and Snow RV into and around the Chatanika Valley and up onto Haystack Mountain. The Yellow trail takes you to the White Mountains trail system about a mile East of the BLM's Moose Creek Cabin.
