Jasmine Johnson will present information on Navajo weaving techniques, equipment use and rugs she has collected with her sister in the southwest. A short Navajo warping demo will follow her presentation with an opportunity to make your own Navajo warp on Saturday, Feb 6, 12-3 pm. Please bring any Navajo textiles, tools and stories to share at the meeting.
February 13, Saturday, 2 - 6 pm -- Spinning Bee
Location: Alice Stickney's home in Ester (479-3425)
Come spend the afternoon with fellow spinners. All spinners are welcome.

Socks have always been popular and interest in this art has increased in recent years around the world. Starting in 1390 and continuing until 1980 sock machines have been manufactured. Arvid Weflen will demonstrate his sock machine and bring his samples. Christine DiCurti will demo the circular loom for knitting hats. Bring your socks and samples to share with others at the meeting.
March 6, Sat., --11am - 6 pm ArtExpo - Special Community Event
Location: Centennial Center for the Arts at Pioneer Park
Come spin a yarn, weave a mug rug, and help sell our handmade cards, soap and hand woven bags. We will need Volunteers to demonstrate and staff the booth. The Guild participates in ART EXPO promoting and demonstrating our programs. We can sell small items ($25 or less). If you have an item of greater value to donate and sell, please contact Penny 452-7737.
