Friends of the Tanana Valley Railroad, Incorporated (FTVRR) is a non-profit
501(c)(3) corporation composed of individuals sharing a common interest in the
history of Alaska as represented by the Tanana Valley Railroad. Organized in
1991 to promote public interest in the Tanana Valley Railroad and it's remaining
artifacts, our objectives are:
The FTVRR has no salaried positions such as executive director, project foreman, etc. Our bylaws specifically prohibit salaried positions within the management structure but do allow the hiring of professional assistance should the need arise. To date, minimal funds have been spent on "outside" help due to the generosity of local businesses and professionals.
Membership classifications, definitions, and applicable fees are as follows:
| Genral Membership - Individual membership; Annual dues of $20.00. | |
| Family Membership - Three or more individuals living as a family; Annual dues of $50.00 includes 1 each Engine #1 Art Print from an original pen and ink drawing by Raymond Bonnell. | |
| Patron - Individual membership; Annual dues of $100.00 includes 1 each FTVRR T-shirt or Sweatshirt of choice and Bonnell art print. | |
| Friend - Individual membership; Annual dues of $250.00, includes Bonnel art print, photocopy of original Tanana Valley Railroad Stock Certificate and annual dues to the National Railway Historical Society. | |
| Lifetime - Individual membership; One time fee of $500.00 includes a special reproduction of an original Tanana Valley Railroad Stock Certificate and annual dues to the National Railway Historical Society. Donation of goods and/or services may be considered in lieu of cash donation on an individual basis by the FTVRR Board of Directors. | |
| Sustaining - Individual or Corporate membership; One time fee of $1000.00 or more includes a special reproduction of an original Tanana Valley Railroad Stock Certificate, an Engine #1 Builder's Replica Plate, and annual dues to the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS). Donation of goods and/or services may be considered in lieu of cash donation on an individual basis. |
If you would like to become a member, please download the application, complete it and mail it in with the appropriate dues payment in form of personal check or money order. If you would like to assist in our project(s) but are not interested in membership, we do accept donations of service, merchandise and/or funds to assist our efforts. Donations are tax deductible and major donors names will be placed on a permanent plaque that will be mounted in the new engine house.
