The Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Seniors are welcome to use the center for visting, games, classes, craft activities, and other recreation. The center requires no membership fee for its use of the facility, or to take advantage of the nutrition and social services provided by North Star Council on Aging.
The North Star Council on Aging, Seniors Center, is here to assist you with Nutrition, Recreation and Social and Human Services for Citizens over 60. Our center is for the use of all Fairbanks Senior Citizens. The center is operated by a small staff and volunteer's who give generously of their time and talents to assist in a myriad of activities through the center. It is the sincere desire of the officers and staff that the Center facilities, programs, and services be used by all the senior citizens of Fairbanks and its surrounding areas.
The North Star Council on Aging Senior Center is a cooperative project supported by Federal, State, City of Fairbanks, and Private Donations.

In response to a need for a central comprehensive agency to serve the needs of the elderly with the Fairbanks area, the North Star Council on Aging, Inc. was incorporated in January 1973 as a non-profit agency, located at 1424 Moore Street, Fairbanks, Alaska 99701. To give you information about existing community help programs available, provide opprotunity for meaningful leisure and recreation, nutritious meals; to make available persons with whom you can share your concerns, and to provide a place of fellowship and understanding. This facility is provided to persons over the age of 60 with no membership fees or cost. All donations are voluntary in nature and used to defray program costs.
